ATAPUERCA. MARCHA A LOS YACIMIENTOS.

En el mes noviembre y como conmemoración de la Declaración de Patrimonio Mundial otorgada por la UNESCO a los Yacimientos de Atapuerca, se celebra desde el año 2003 esta popular marcha que cruza la sierra de Atapuerca hasta acceder a la Trinchera del ferrocarril, donde se encuentran los restos fósiles más antiguos de Europa. Iniciativa surgida desde el Ayuntamiento de la localidad y que cada año acoge a cientos de personas que a pesar de la meteorología realizan esta marcha conmemorativa.

Cuando: El domingo más cercano al 30 de noviembre. (fecha de la Declaración)

Donde: La salida se realiza desde el mismo pueblo de Atapuerca.
